Diversity - that's what the SNCF stands for. It's a company that's in step with the times and free of bigotry and prejudice. The association 'Gare!' is at the heart of the company and brings together gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual employees. On 27 June it will be joining the famous gay parade that you'll have heard about by now. Tolerance - that's the value behind the Gay Pride march, and it is a value that is still worth fighting for today, 40 years to the day after the riots in New York which began the gay rights movement. It's party time! With music, dancing, and general fun and frolics, the Gay Pride march is a protest march for some and a carnival for others, but for everyone it's a party. So head over to Place du 18 Juin 1940 in front of Gare Montparnasse on 27 June at 2 pm. If you want to join in with the March en route, here's the itinerary: Boulevards Montparnasse, Saint-Michel and Saint-Germain, Pont de Sully, Boulevard Henri IV, finishing off with a fanfare finale at Place de la Bastille. |
